In analytical instrumentation, we consider o2 as a reference for paramagnetic analyser and we consider relative susceptibility of paramagnetic gases for analysis.

O2 has susceptibility of 100.

And CO2 has 0.01 so, the strongest paramagnetic is o2 not CO2.
